Sound Absorption
Sound absorption is some or all of the incident sound energy (noise) passes through a fibrous, porous, low density absorber such as acoustic foam that provides acoustic friction for the sound wave to convert to heat and kinetic energy, so that the noise is being dissipated and refection reduced.
